"Redskins is like "N" word to Native Americans".....

   In a letter written to Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder, several members of Congress said that the term "Resdkins" is very offensive.

     They also said the when he promises "never to change the name of his team", he is promising to keep using a racial slur.

  In the letter they state "Native Americans throughout the country consider the R-word a racial, derogatory slur akin to the N-word among African Americans..."

   If members of Congress feel strongly enough about this, they can make it an issue that's going to be very tough for the NFL to ignore.
