May 28, 2013 at 2 PM: The USFS just gave us an update on the White Fire in the Santa Barbara area. The fire has grown to 1800 acres and is still 10% contained. 4000 people have been evacuated from homes and campgrounds in the area, as the fire threatens residences and business structures.
There are 6 air tankers and 4 helicopters in the air today, Paradise Road is closed. The fire went through Sage Hill Campground and the Forest Service compound.
The full damage in those areas is not known at this time.
