Gary Caldwell is right about Wildlife killings

During the budget hearings, Gary Caldwell spoke up about the $60,000 we spend to have wild animals killed by Fish and Wildlife in Calaveras County. He feels that every time someone complains about any wild animal, several will be killed indiscriminately. Caldwell also feels that ranchers should protect their own livestock, not the taxpayers. Good for you Gary. You are right!!

Sierra Sentinel, seriously, you should look into USDA/APHIS-Wildlife Services. Last weeks BOS/budget meeting, there was talk of doing away with the wildlife contract. Why can't the private sector create a company to do the same thing? Insurance costs for one thing. There are a few highly skilled former employees of APHIS in this county. Why are they former employees? Do the research.

They need to do away with killing the wild animals totally. They have a right to live, too. What those supposed Wildlife people do is disgusting! Why would we want a private organization of killers?

It's like the people who call for just sighting a wild animal. if they freak out for that, they should move, and leave the animals alone.

Let's not forget whwere we live!! If you fear wildlife....move to the valley. Of course the wildlife there will climb into your window and shoot you.

I know. People move to the country and then want to get rid of all the critters who were here first. It's not right that MY tax money goes to pay for the killings.
