Officer Ayala was in charge of investigations at the time of the shooting. "Suspicious person" was the dispatch call he was sent for. He was there in 5 minutes.
Then he got a dispatch update that there were shots fired. He was the 2nd officer on the scene. He had gone the long way around and parked at the scene.
Officer Smith had a white male in custody at the time of his arrival. He neither heard sounds nor movement from Martin when he approached.
Sgt. Raymondo rolled Martin over and there was still no response. They performed CPR on Martin's body and applied a plastic bag was placed over the wound.
Rescue personnel arrived later and pronounced Trayvon Martin dead at the scene.
