June 2, 2013 at 7:10 AM: The Powerhouse Fire in the Angeles National Forest appears to be completely out of the control
of USFS fire personnel; or they are allowing it to burn.
Now the total acres burned is 19,500 and the number of fire presonnel is still at 975.. They are indicating that rapid rates of spread with a high resistance to control efforts has taken place.
How many helicopters and tankers are being used and since when? We aren't the only ones asking these quesitons. If you remember last years CHIPS fire you remember how the USFS allowed the fire to overwhelm large area, distroying wildlife and their habitat for many years to come.
Who runs that outfit, anyway. We are going to ask questions up in DC. We'll let you know if they even reply.

Wow, I totally agree. The US Forest Service doesn't seem to care what people do in our forests anymore. shooting, burning, clear cutting, slashing for profit of certain politicians and on and on.
