We've had reports from different areas of Ebbetts Pass that there are some bears roaming
around late at night.
One person asked us if they should be careful about their children around bears. We told them that their children and grandchildren have MUCH more to fear from the DRUNK DRIVERS in Ebbetts Pass than they ever will from any bear.
Nevertheless, as the water disappears and the Baker's hot tub goes dry, there will be bears in the subdivisions, so if children should see a bear, they should stay away.
Meanwhile, we hear that the Baker's and other postal workers are keeping their hot tubs full of what the bears like most.
They are hungry and thirsty so if you don't want them around, do not leave out cat or dog food, water or especially hot tubs. Bears love them.
