Woman living in garage forced to pay $4000 in RIM fees?

It was fairly obvious from the beginning that the Board of Supervisors was taking the side of a resident who had lost her job and was now living in her garage apartment in District 2.

She initially applied to have just the $500 encroachment fee waived, but then it came out during the Board meeting that she was also being charged $4000 in RIM fees, and $1800 in permit application fees.

Supervisor Callaway would not waiver as she really likes her RIM fees, but Chris Wright, Cliff Edson and Debbie Ponte saw it differently.

A deal was made with planning and public works to save the woman some money and although Supervisor Callaway was not happy, it was in Chris Wright's district.
