On July 14, 2013 at approximately 6:30 PM a fire was reported in the 4400 block of LittleJohn Rd in Copperopolis.
Units from Columbia Air attack, San Andreas engines, Altaville dozer, Murphys engine, Copperopolis engine, Arnold engine, Groveland engine, Standard engine and the Baseline Hand Crew responded in addition to local Copperopolis fire engine, Murphys Fire patrol and Altaville/Melones water tender.
6.4 acres of grass vegetation was burned and one outbuilding was destroyed. Four structures were threatened.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office was notified.
