Dear Editor:
First of all, I am a devoted reader of the Sierra Sentinel and I know you will post my letter where others may not..
. I think its time we face something in our country. When President Obama was first elected, I was so naïve that I believed racism was really disappearing.
Now I realize that not only was this NOT a sign of less racism, but I watched as every nearly every single racist across the country came out from "under their rocks " and organized.
Then the economy dumped and the racists blamed the minorities for their being out of a job. Racism permeates every single part of a racists life; their jobs, their politics, their relationships.
When the President was re-elected with an overwhelming majority, I saw that the educated, non-judgmental and accepting people far outnumber the vocal racists.
Are you a racist? Think about it! If you have heard someone threaten the President of the United States and did not report it to authorities, you are also a racist.
If you accept racial slurs and jokes and laugh or otherwise show that you accept this behavior, you are also a racist.
When will we as a people become an overwhelmingly higher IQ society? When will we bury this minority racist element back "under their rocks" where they belong?
All right! I've ranted enough for a Sunday morning. I welcome comments from other readers.

Oh, man! I heard a threat made in a public place. I didn't report it because I and everyone I know is terrified of this crazy man!
It's not as easy as it seems to challenge and report these people. It takes guts that I don't have. I care about my family first!
I'm not a racist just because I prefer to mix with my own people!!!
O...M....G!
Oh, yes, they are among us, with red shirts and tongues.
