called Fish and Wildlife out of fear when they saw one.
While there has NEVER been one incident in California of a Black Bear killing a human, this woman said that she would go to the market and buy them meat so they won't start eating people. (GO BACK TO SOUTH CAROLINA)
Of course this is insane. Bears eat mostly grasses and berries, but when hungry, will eat whatever they come across. But NOT PEOPLE!!
Bears have better taste than that. PEOPLE taste TERRIBLE!! Bears have been sighted in Calaveras County even in Valley Springs and Copperopolis in the past couple of years. WHY?
While Fish and Wildlife says its the dry conditions in the forest, the trutht is that clear cutting by the logging companies, (which is massive,) and the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's CHIP's program (which clear cuts everything, including the brush that the bears need to survive) is causing this problem.
They are simply trying to survive!!
CHIPS is paid with our forced CalFire tax and takes the wood and burns in in Ione for free, and sells the electricity it makes from burning. They call it a non-profit!! So what can you do?
If you don't put a HOT TUB on your property (water is their biggest need), don't leave any garbage outdoors, don't feed your pets outdoors, don't put out any birdseed (the bears love it) and never leave any type of water in birdbaths, etc. you will not be bothered by the bears.
They are much more afraid of you that you are of them. They only come for food and water and the more clear-cutting Governor Brown sends his crews to do in our forests, the more starved and thirsty they become.
If you see one, do not run. They are a lot like dogs and they could chase you, especially a female with cubs to protect.
If you call these horrible Fish and Wildlife people (and they are horrible people), they get excited and get to go hunt and kill. (their favorite thing in life, in our opinion). And they are paid with OUR TAX money to kill!
Why is Governor Brown clear-cutting out forests? He even has environmentalists believing its for our own good, for fire danger. BULL!!
We now know that this is all about clear-cutting Northern California Forests (the watershed) in order to get more water (they are calling it enhancing the watershed) released for his giant tunnels to Southern California.
When we first made this policy public (a policy which Supervisors Callaway and Wilensky whole-heartedly supported and voted for) they told us it was to create jobs for people in District 2 and to prevent fires. What a pile of **** that was!!
Beware of our local water districts too, as they seem to have bought into this con from Governor Brown and therefore are not protecting us from the Governors water theft.
Are our elected officials this stupid? The farmers in the Valley seem to have finally caught on and are fighting this tunnel. But what about our elected officials?
Callaway and Wilensky are totally responsible for our losing our watershed and Callaway just got another vote to give more money to the CHIPs program to clear cut everything in Ebbetts Pass, even your private property.
We need to get rid of elected officials who pretend to be environmental but are actually trying to help Southern California get our water.
Unless these policies are curtailed, we will continue to see bears and other starving, thirsty forest creatures where they really don't want to be, in our subdivisions.
If you see one, don't panic, just go indoors!! Do not call Fish and Wildlife or the Sheriff. They are all too eager to kill the poor things!!
For every call made to either place, another one of our wild creatures is tortured and dies a horrible death unnecessarily.
Stupid peope who put HOT TUBS in the forest are welcoming the thirsty bears. They cannot complain!!
