Zimmerman trial-Dr. DeMayo testiimony continues

July 9, 2013:  Dr. DeMayo says that George Zimmerman could have hit Trayvon Martin
and not left bruising.

"Wouldn't the doctor that saw him the very next day be the best judge of the injuries?" he was asked.

Doctors aren't interested in treating the injuries, just the patient. "But didn't the doctor give the exact measurements?"

"Did you agree the lacerations did not need treatment?" he was asked.  Yes, he agrees. "The code on the EMT codebook was listed at the moment of the injuries.  Did you agree with that assessment?"

"You agree that 4 hours later Zimmerman's nose was fine?" Yes. He thought the EMT might have set it back in place.

He now says the injuries were indicative of a hard impact, not necessarily a cement walkway, but could be a tree or anything else.

"Why didn't Dr. Colgate identify the injuries the way you have the next day?" He said he didn't know, she just didn't think they were significant.

" If Zimmerman is standing then the blood will run down.  If I'm laying on my back the blood will run down my throat, making it hard to swallow, talk or whatever?" Yes, he answered.

"Did you see the tape where he showed absolutely no sign of injury, walking and talking fine?" Yes, again.
