Some industries are making big profit off of the "Doomsday Preppers", who are certain that there is coming soon some disaster while will destroy our infrastructure or tear society apart.
They not only are buying a storing the basic necessities, such a food, clothing and shelter, but are preparing self-defense and security measures, power systems, water filtration, communications and bunkers.
The willingness of these people to spend money, has some industries catering to the "preppers" and it has become a multibillion dollar business.
Some are even digging or having prepared for them, shelters away from the cities just like when the cold war of the 1950's and '60's.
