Nearly everyone knows that the politics of fire is very influential and because the Rim Fire has
been allowed to grow so immensely, the SRA tax on homeowners could be influenced. This is not about the firefighters on the ground; it's the UPPER management decisions.
Some say that these fires are allowed to grow out of control for two reasons: the next years budget increases for the USFS and CalFire, and for the politics of whether to allow the big logging companies into clear-cut for profit. (they claim they should be allowed to clear cut our forests, rather than letting them burn down first).
Either way, we get screwed and the forest dies in the meantime, along with all the poor creatures who live there.
It's terrible to think that way, but we've had confirmation from several ex-employees of both government agencies, that both politics and money influence the upper management decisions on when and if to go all out on a fire in the beginning stages.
For instance, everyone is now aware that if the USFS had ordered a dozen air tankers the first day of the Rim Fire, this would not have happened.
Just a bad management mistake or political a budget minded? The case against the state's imposed tax on certain homeowners will be in court soon.
Could this fire influence judicial decisions. Of course it could? Fear is the most powerful influence over all of us, including judges.
Absolutely 0 of the $150 per homes goes to fighting fires, instead going to Mr. Wilesnky's clear-cutting CHIPS non-profit. Yes, it's a sad day, taxpayers!
