UPDATE: at 5 PM: We learned that the big rig had left the scene, that perhaps they didn't even knew
they had hit the motorcycle.
CHP has issued an alert for the brown semi, but don't have a license plate number.
UPDATE: at 2:45 PM. Three CHP are currently at the scene and a 4th has been dispatched
to help investigate the accident and clear the traffic jam.
August 6, 2013: At around 2:15 PM a collision between a motorcycle and a big rig has left one person
fatally injured at Hwy 99 and Hwy 120 in Manteca.
It is possible the motorcycle rider was run over by the semi truck. The westbound ramp of Hwy 120 from Hwy 99 is blocked. The coroner was notified.
Traffic was stopped for some time and northbound traffic is backed up to Jack Tone Rd.
