Dear Editor:
After reading about the Tea Party complaining that closing off a section of the Yosemite National Park would hurt jobs, I had to stop and think about it.
Of course, the type of jobs it would hurt is only the clear-cutting jobs that have become predominant in the past few years. That's okay with me.
But the main thing is, this morning I saw 8 pickups pulling Jeeps with the big track tires and several trucks loaded with 4-wheelers, all headed for the forest.
If you've ever been back in the area where they are allowed, you know the devastation they wreak on the forest floor, the terror they strike in the wild forest creatures and their failure to follow the legal trails and other rules.
So, between stopping some of the clear-cutting and keeping out the other destructive forces in parts of our wonderful forest, I'm for closing it off to give it a rest.
The loss of the small frogs is just a sign of what is really happening there. Isn't the global warming enough destruction? Just to make McClintock happy, let's bar the hunters too!
So stop harping, Mr. McClintock, and go do something positive for a change. I see absolutely nothing positive for our area in your entire years in office. No wonder they want to recall you.

Good letter. I think most people would agree. I know I do.
I absolutely agree. Has man become so arrogant to think this his personal rights trample those of all of God creatures? That four wheeling is more important then protected animals in a National Park being safe and protected? I am 100% on board.
Guess this issue is mute, now? Should there be an EIR as to distressed wild animal corridors for escape from wildfires? After all, there are wild life corridors considerations in subdivision maps discussion. Environmental Justice!
