Pickup in Melones Reservoir under the Parrotts Ferry Bridge

    UPDATE:  At 3:09 PM we learned that this pickup is believed to have been in the lake for sometime, possibly intentionally dumped there. Tuolumne county sent their marine team ou because Calaveras didn't have boats in  the water today.

    UPDATE:  At 12:55 PM:  The Calaveras Sheriff' s Office was notified to take over recovery. The truck is about 100' from the shore.

  UPDATE: At 12:41 PM a caller says maybe this vehicle was dumped in the lake. The roof is caved in.
   August 14, 2013 at 12:24:. A vehicle was reported in the Lake under  Parrotts Ferry Rd.
 by a boater on the lake. He doesn't think its visible from the road.

   A pickup is in the water under the Parrotts Ferry Bridge at Melones, on the Calaveras County side.  It is a dark gray or black pickup with roof damage as if in a traffic collision.  It is unknown if anyone is inside.

   CHP is on their way to the bridge now.
