To J & D and readers:

Yes, at the time of the elections for Assembly, Rico Oller and Frank Bigelow, both Republicans,
were our choices. It was a hard decision because we had known and supported Rico for a long time.

However, after interviewing Frank Bigelow, the Sentinel decided that he was the more moderate choice and he assured us at that time that he would not try to bring his right-wing, anti-woman's right religious beliefs into the job.

He further assured us that his main focus would be on jobs for our poor county, hard hit by the depression and our ill-gotten elected officials who are against any jobs but minimum wage tourist type.

Then, we started getting press releases from his Chief of Staff about bills to go after cattle rustlers (he is a cattleman), and found that he voted against his own people and the high speed train. (which is putting a major work area in his largely unemployed county of Madera).

Finally, he sent out a survey asking people what they wanted most from their elected official. What was high on his list? Religious issues, women's rights issues, etc.

Where was the option for jobs or even a blank space to add your own?  NOTHING! We asked staff if this is a pre-cursor to his bringing up a bill against women's rights in California. NO RESPONSE!!

After getting many complaints from readers we called and asked Bigelow's Chief of Staff what was going on. He didn't like being questioned at all.

He made it clear that they don't help anyone who doesn't agree with everything that they do, no matter what.  No criticism or suggestions allowed.

We found that they also now don't respond to email questions or want to have anything to do with anyone who doesn't want religion to control our lives.

Now that is a change; from pre-election rhetoric to post election over-confidence and turncoat on the people who elected him.

So now he is trying to cover and say he's for jobs just because he likes Diane Gray at the Chamber?  That won't work for people who think clearly.

Be cautious with Frank Bigelow. We have found that he isn't what he says he is!!

All right, so now we know that he only likes cows and religious extremists! What else is new? We haven't had a good representative for many years and now the extremism is worse than ever. They run saying they aren't, but they lie, because they really are extremists! But how do we get rid of them?
