On the Consent Agenda is a letter of united opposition to SB 594. We asked the City Clerk,
Mary Kelly why this was on the Consent Agenda instead of open and to be discussed on the regular agenda.
Kelly stated that if anyone wanted to discuss it they can remove it from the Consent Agenda. The only reason the item could be on the Consent Agenda is if the City Council had already discussed it in private, away from the public, in violation of the Brown Act.
This would not surprise us, and it should not surprise us that Kelly would place something they do not want discussed on Consent to try and fool the public.
It doesn't matter that this has to do with the City is for the customers, not the City, could it?
It's a complete wonder that the City of Angels doesn't have more lawsuits than they already have, they way the City Council and City Administrator behave towards the public.
