Commendation for Roseville Police...about bears!!!

As is common these days, due to the deforestation taking place in the Sierras to release water to Los Angeles, more bear sightings are taking place.

In Roseville, we were made aware, that the Police Department, after receiving several calls about black bears being seen in the local park, issued a community wide statement.

"If you see a bear, stand up straight, make lot of noise, and don't act afraid. They will run off, as they are afraid of people."

The wonderful thing about this is that they are smarter than the Calaveras Sheriff's Department, who encourages trapping and killing of every bear seen, referring it to Fish and Wildlife.

   We commend the Roseville Police!!

Every time the killers at Fish and Wildlife are notified, there is another beautiful animal tortured and killed unnecessarily.

Due to Mr. Steve Wilensky's CHIPs program in the area, the bears have little or no food left in the wild. They depend on the low lying brush and wild bushes that are being destroyed due to this program.

It isn't the bear's fault that Supervisor Callaway is afraid of them Move to the city and leave them and us alone.

If you leave them alone, they will leave you alone! They don't come into subdivisions unless they are starving. If you leave your garbage outdoors, you are inviting them and if you have fruit trees and are not willing to share, you should fence them off.

Why some people believe the bears are there to hurt or kill them is beyond us. Cowards don't belong in the county, and neither to animal haters.

Name the last time someone was killed by a black bear in California. You can't!! So leave the wild animals alone and worry about your behavior instead.
