Gloria Lopez-Chavoya of Valley Springs passed away of an aneurism in Stockton on September 26, 2013. She was 68.
A native of Houston, Texas, her parents were Carmen Lopez and Celio Hinijosa Lopez.
She had worked at the Sunnyvale Sun Newspaper, K-Mart and Cupertino Unified School District cafeteria.
She was a member, retired of Club Estrella and Public Employees #3 in Stockton. She had also been Eucharistic Minister at St. Justins Catholic Church in Santa Clara.
She is survived by her husband Richard Chavoya, Sr. of Valley Springs, children Regina C. (Paul) Maguire of Campbell, Richard C. Chavoya, Jr. of Valley Springs, grandson Michael Maguire of Campbell, siblings Carmen Avalos of San Antonio, Texas, Arthur Lopez of Valley Springs, Charles Lawrence of the Phillipines, Cezar Lopez of Modesto, Blanca Goodwin of Valley Springs, Dalia Robinson of Lake Tahoe, Mario Lopez of Valley Springs, Leticia Jurado of Reedley.
She also leaves many nieces and nephews and family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Carmen and Celia Lopez and her brother-in-law Donald Goodwin.
Visitation will be from 9 AM to 6 PM on Monday October 7, 2013. Services will be held on Monday October 7, 2013 with a Rosary at 6 PM at San Andreas Memorial Chapel, 254 W. St. Charles Street in San Andreas, 95249.
On Tuesday October 8, 2013 a Funeral Mass will be held at 1 PM at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 162 Church Hill Road in San Andreas.
Burial will be at Double Springs Cemetery in Valley Springs. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
