A San Francisco native, his parents were James Morton Sweet and Loren June (Mechling) Sweet.
Married to Tori Renee (Williams) Sweet, he had been the custodian of the Calaveras County Government Center and was a retired community specialist from the Arc of Calaveras.
He was also a member of the Railroad Flat Community Club, he liked playing Cribbage and getting together in West Point to play Pedro.
Mr. Sweet is survived by his wife Tori and sons Tyler and Corey of Railroad Flat and daughters Karen and Patti K of San Francisco, three grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
He is also survived by his sister Margaret Lind of Railroad Flat; brothers Thomas of Lincoln and Michael and Kevin of Railroad Flat and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father James Morton Sweet and mother Lorena June (Mechling) Sweet and brother Richard Sweet.
Services are still pending. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery in Railroad Flat.
