Lest we ever forget!!! |
immediately Congressman McClintock is suspect by many, for helping his donors benefit financially from what he has identified as the "Yosemite Rim Fire".
From the beginning questions were asked as to why the fire was allowed to grow out of control with little attempt, if any, for the first week after a hunter supposedly illegally made a campfire and started the Rim Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest.
Now we see how McClintock, far from being devastated, is finding a way for his donors to profit from it immediately.
Environmentalists, whether naïve or just plain anti-forest, have been supporting clear-cutting actions started by Steve Wilensky in Calaveras County, who proclaims to be a Democrat.
HR 1526, called the Restoring Healthy Forests Act, the bill that passed today is nothing but a ploy to get money for certain supporters of legislators.
Now McClintock pushed for and got, on a purely Republican vote in the House of Representatives, an amendment to allow them to clear the dead forest, instead of allowing it to come back naturally. Much of the Stanislaus National Forest is a self-described moonscape of ash as it is.
The vote was 243-172 in the House, including the amendment. We are checking to see if any Democrats voted for this and against the environment. We are aware that now McClintock doesn't have to worry about frogs and toads slowing down his logging friends. He has stated many times how much he despises them.
He actually made, in writing, a statement that it would do tremendous things for our economy. He obviously must believe that we are nothing but a bunch of low-life loggers in Calaveras and Tuolumne County; that we aren't good for anything else.
This is probably true of his supporters, the Tea-liban!! Makes us sick!! We need to recall McClintock!!

Can you believe that an area which elects non-growth Supervisors like Calaveras County, could elect a loser like McClintock. Shocking!!
Why does everyone act so surprised? McClintock will sell his soul, I believe, to stay in office. Like a lot of politicians.
None of this has ever been about preventing forest fires. It has always been about making money for their supporters, Wilensky or McCLintock. If we keep electing these kind of people, we are killing out own forests.
