Rim Fire Update September 2, 2013

   September 2, 2013:  At 7:15AM  we received an update of the Rim Fire burning in the Stanislaus

National Forest and Yosemite National Park.

   As of this morning, 228,670 acres or 357 square miles have burned. Cost to date is $66 million. Containment is now 60%.

    There has been talk that people a marijuana grow may have been the cause of this fire, but it has not been confirmed.

   The Rim Fire is now the 4th largest wildfire in California's recorded history.
