Tom Infusino is an attorney who is paid by an environmental group. He stated at the last Calaveras
Board of Supervisors meeting that these 5 Supervisors are honorable and will therefore vote his way. Now that's a laugh!!
If the 5 don't vote his way, he would most likely say they are dishonorable, as he did about another county he would not name.
That's the way it works in dirty political circles. And Calaveras County is nothing if not a dirty political circle, led by 5 Supervisors.
Since most of believee that what he said is not true, we have to bring it up. Mr. Infusino, who works as an attorney for the Calaveras Planning Coalition, a totally anti-growth organization (NIMBY's), praises them as long as he gets what he wants, because he is PAID for it.
Mr. Infusino does NOT live in Calaveras County, and would NOT, we believe, be doing this for free, as a concerned citizen. Give us a break. This is big business for him!
We beg to differ, since we have witnessed many violations of the Brown Act. among others. Supervisors are bought by organizations who promise to get them elected.
It is totally honorable for concerned citizens to come forward as neighbors to speak in favor of or against what their neighbors want.
But is it at all honorable for Supervisors to be swayed by professionals who are not even residents? We don't think so.
When it was stated that Planning is totally up to the interpretation of the elected officials, they mean that it is up to the WELL PAID individuals who do not live next door.
