Although no hunting or even fishing is allowed in Yellowstone National Park, legal gun carrying individuals are allowed to bring their weapons into the park.
A teenage girl reportedly shot herself and died at a campground near Yellowstone Lake when emergency responders were not able to revive the girl.
Only a handful of National Parks allow hunting or shooting of any kind. Yellowstone is a 2.2 million acres national park in parts of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho and attracts 3 million visitors a year, none of them allowed to kill animals.
