The Calaveras Sheriff's Office has released yet another press release on the shooting in Burson.
In this one, the Sheriff identifies the deceased victim as Randolph Alan Ford of Burson.
An autopsy apparently showed that Mr. Ford died of shock and hemorrhage resulting from five gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
Detectives at the scene did recover two small caliber handguns. The shooting apparently followed a domestic argument between Mr. Ford and his wife, the alleged shooting suspect, Charity Ford.
The exact reason for the shooting is still under investigation. Suspect Charity Ford has been cooperative with detectives during the investigation.
The second victim, Britney McGhee, is reported to be in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released when appropriate.
