Less than a month after the SierraSentinel.com became an online publication, an hilarious story, was
posted about an event someone had heard about.
It was titled "The Blue Tarp Gang" and most everyone loved it and laughed uproariously. We were told at the time by the writer, that it was about two men hanging a giant blue tarp to hide from something. (no one knew what). It was very cleverly written, but included no names or locations.
Then we got a comment that was definitely a death threat, talking about someone this person said was his sister. It said that the editor of the website would be talked to in a body bag.
At first, we at the Sentinel didn't know what to do and it was written anonymously, as many comments are. And what about a woman, we had no idea, since the story was supposedly written about two men.
After some discussion we posted that we were turning this person in to the authorities for full prosecution.
