At the last Calaveras Board of Supervisors meeting, our Supervisors had a hard decision to make;
whether to take a month off for the holiday season this year, or six weeks!
Listening to them discuss whether or not they wanted to work was a joke. We already know that they do nothing but show up at campaign opportunities and to a meeting twice a month.
For this they make full pay; the three new Supervisors, who knew this was an issue for the voters, changed their attitudes once they got into office.
Now all three like it not having to work but twice a month. And how many jobs have they brought into our county. NONE? Six years and counting.
These three new Supervisors have not a clue about finding a middle ground between the landowners who would like to build a few homes and the wacked out environmentalists who blackmail them that they will make sure they don't get elected next time.
The Sierra Sentinel would like to put it on record that all five of our supposed representatives in Calaveras County need to be replaced, as Supervisor Spellman will be in the upcoming election.
They are all just like him. You can tell because they get along so well. Incompetent suckers draining our tax money, doing NOTHING!

I am shocked to see you saying things like this about Ponte. She has another full-time job, after all. And I hear that all the ranchers love her cause she's cutting special deals and making them happy in every way.
Callaway got Edson and Ponte to take the lead on killing any good jobs in District 1 and 4. It was so cool to watch her. She smiled all the way to the next election. She used them big time. She doesn't really like any of them and they don't like her, just use each other, like typical poli-tics! Don't care about us at all.
It really is no wonder we are all called hicks by other areas. We keep electing the dumbest people to represent us.
I think we need to add the Sheriff, who does nothing but eat if you look at him and the Coronor, who has a total conflict of interest owning and running everything to control funerals in this county. Boot them all out.
I hear that Ponte spends all her free time with Callaway, taking her under her wing and all, Callaway calls it. Isn't that true?
You'll only see this in the Sentinel, folks! The only ones who tell the real truth about what's going on at your expense.
At least you call out the extremists on both sides.
What do you mean No RE-election, February, next year the heat is on. They need the coolness of November and December to prepare to run an all out campaign.
It's going to be interesting to see what their individual campaign platform will be. Jobs will go over like a lead balloon. Roads, FEMA, the General Plan? If so, it'll be the same old steaming pile when a bull lowers it's tail.
I wonder who the opponents will be, if any?
