On October 28, 2013, Donald Kay (D.K.) Lawson, of Mokelumne Hill,
passed away at his home. He was 76.
A native of Laura, Oklahoma, he was born on September 4, 1937 to Harry Donald Lawson and Mary Opal Koontz.
After attending Stockton High School, he spent 25 years with Caltrans in Calaveras County. He was an avid horseman, loved animals, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Linda "Bebe" Lawson of Mokelumne Hill, son Kevin (Kate) Lawson of Sonora, step-daughter Christina O'Connor of Angels Camp, step-son Jim Shuler (Jennifer) of Stanwood, Washington, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister Ruth (Wayne) Purvenance of Rogue River, Oregon, and with special thoughts to Denny Nance.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, sisters Betty Joy Nance and Jerrie Castro.
There will be no services per his request. You may make donations in his memory to Hospice of Amador County, 1500 South Hwy 49 in Jackson, CA 95642.
