We are proud to say here at the Sentinel that we supported Governor Brown's signing of AB711,
the bill banning lead from ammunition used on animals here in California.
Our Supervisors in Calaveras County, led by Debbie Ponte, all five of them; Callaway, Spellman, Wright, Ponte and Edson, voted to write a letter against AB 711.
That's what kind of people our Supervisors are!! Hooray for Governor Brown, the legislature and the Audubon Society of California, along with many other bird and animal rights groups supported AB711.
This is so indicative of a bad strain of cruelty in our elected officials in Calaveras County. I think we should all be allowed to dump all of the lead on these 5 Supervisors property, so that their animals and children will have to suffer from lead poisoning.
