November 18, 2013: The storm that is due in tonight and which could last through Thursday, will be colder and bring rain to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and foothills.
Make sure your woodpile and patio cushions are covered. You also should check your windshield wipers and anti-freeze if you haven't already done so.
It isn't yet clear how low the snow will come, but rain is expected to begin around 2 AM in the morning.

Aye, Aye, skipper, batten down the hatches. The rain gauge is in place for the purpose of recording the coming rain events. Is the county prepared for possible flooding?
Not today, they're all gathering for the dedication of the "NEW" court house.
