Beverly J. Laidet of Mokelumne Hill, passed away on November 7, 2013 in Jackson. She was 85.
A native of Standard, she was born on October 22, 1928 to Albert and Anna McCardle Henley, #11 of 13 children.
She lived in Calaveras County for 84 years, spending most of her childhood at Fourth Crossing. She attended Willow Creek Elementary and Calaveras High School.
For the past 56 years, she has lived in Mokelumne Hill. She married Clovis Laidet in Gardnerville, Nevada on June 14, 1947.
She worked at Health Research in Mokelumne Hill for 33 years. She was active in PTA, Women's Club, Girl Scouts, was a Bethel Guardian of Job's Daughters, 35 year member of Azalea Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and was a Representative of Maine in California for Grand Chapter.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and making lap robes for cancer dressing stations.
Mrs. Laidet is survived by her sister Nadine Rouff of Lodi, daughters Laura Laidet of Hacienda Heights, Nanette Wheeler of Haverville, Massachusetts and Eileen Laidet of Mokelumne Hill, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Clovis C. Laidet and son Mitchell C. Laidet.
An Eastern Star service was held on Monday November 11, 2013 for family and friends n the Mokelumne Hill Town Hall and burial was in Mokelumne Hill.
In lieu of flowers please donate in her memory to the Hospice of Amador and Calaveras.
