UPDATE at 11:05 AM: CalFire has requested the closure of the road to continue for at least another hour.
November 6, 2013: A wildland fire was reported at around 9:45 AM in Pioneer just off Hwy 88, near Defender Grade Road and Joyce Rd.
CHP is closing off Defender Grade Road before Joyce and Hwy 26 for fire emergency crews.
