Frank A. Giuffra, resident of Valley Springs since 1979, passed away on November 20, 2013 at St. Josephs Hospital in Stockton. He was 79.
Born April 7, 1934 in French Camp, his parents were Frank Giuffra, Sr and Darlene Thorpe. He graduated from Calaveras High School,
worked at Associated Forest Products, Calaveras Cement Plant and he and his wife Mary Jane owned and operated the family bakery, Giuffra's Country Bakery in San Andreas for 20 years.
He enjoyed traveling, reading, family gatherings and watching sports on TV.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Mary Jane Giuffra. his parents Frank and Darlene Giuffra and brothers Bill, Jack and Gerald and sister Linda.
He is survived by his sons Robin, Steve, Greg and Richard, daughter Jody Renner and fiancé Ruben Rodriguez; grandchildren Tyler and Justin Giuffra, and Michael Bragg; nephews Jerry, Jim and Frank Giuffra; nieces Lisa Giuffra and Debbie Sellick; cousins Scotty, Shelley and Tim; great-grandchildren Faith Giuffra, Hamesyn Giuffra, Kayden Giuffra, Marriana Giuffra, Scarlett Giuffra and McKaylynn Giuffra.
Services will be held on December 14, 2013 at 11 AM at the Community Covenant Church, 261 Treat Ave. in San Andreas and will be officiated by Jerry Meyers. Burial will be in the Angels Camp Cemetery.
There will be a gathering and potluck at the church following the service. Everyone is asked to bring a dish.
San Andreas Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
