Shooting at Illegal Candyrock gun range will continue

We received a letter from the USFS Susan Skalski, detailing reasons why the decision making about the illegal Candy Rock Shooting Range is being postponed.

They blame the Rim Fire in Tuolumne County and furlough days in October and are postponing resumption of their decision making process until fall of 2014.

Since the people who shoot there often do not follow any rules set up anyway, and most of the residents are fearful of revenge when complaining, we do not see any changes occurring.

The Sheriff of Calaveras County refuses to get involved, as the gun people are his friends, so calling the Sheriff's office is a waste of time, too.

Whoa! That's gonna raise a stink! What's wrong with the USFS. And what has the Rim Fire got to do with it?

Maybe they are trying to prevent more fires. Why can't they go to a legal gun range? Candyrock is NOT a legal gun range.

Don't know what you are talking about. the USFS, friends working there, built us that shooting range and its ours for free as long as we want it. why don't the rest of you shut up. you don't MATTER to USFS. only us.

+That's right. the forest service is hurting real businesses by allowing these friends of theirs to shoot free and building them a nice range, although its illegal.

I have no objections to shooting, but these people want absolutely no rules, have no consideration for nearby homes, and want to shoot free. There are plenty of gun ranges in the area where shooting is legal.

That is so typical of gun people. all they care about are THEIR rights, no one elses.
