Angels Camp Police Arrest Alleged Sexual Assault Suspect

 
According to Angels Camp Police, on December 17, 2013 the Angels Camp Police Department was contacted regarding the sexual assault of a juvenile victim.

   It was reported that the juvenile victim had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance of the victim's family and that the suspect had left the area.

   Upon further investigation, the ACPD identified the suspect as 21 year old San Andreas resident, Jason David Anthony Roberts.

   Roberts was contacted on December 18, 2013 at approximately 6:15 PM in the 3000 block of Hwy 49 in San Andreas.

   Roberts confessed to the investigating officers that he seually assaulted the child and was subsequently arrested.

   Roberts was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on the following alleged charges:

   288.7 (b) PC --Oral Copulation--Victim under 10 years old
   288A(C) PC -- Oral Copulation with Person Under 14 Years of age and More than 10 years younger
   289(A)(1)(A) PC -- Sexual Penetration with Force or Fear
    288(A) PC --Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child.
