This is actually the time of year that many people dread. The "family" coming to visit, bag and
baggage, attitude and all.
It may be a family member who drinks too much,
or who makes improper comments; one who just doesn't want to be there, and you don't care to have them in your home either.
While in the old days mothers always said "But its important to keep the family together", it may not be the right thing for YOU and your family.
Don't let a guilt trip get you to allow someone to ruin your family's holiday. Suggest they stay somewhere else, or stop inviting them.
It's called getting mature and knowing when "enough is enough." Do not allow manipulation and guilt to make your family uncomfortable.
Don't get "grinched" for the holidays!
