Mildred Jane Moran

   Mildred Jane Moran was born in Stockton to William and Ollie Harper on March 27, 1930 and passed peacefully on the evening of December 12, 2013 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's disease and a brief illness.

   She worked at the California Water Service Company, volunteered at Mickey's Grove Zoo, Dameron Hospital, the Discover Shop and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of California Pioneer Women.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sherid T. Moran, nephew Herb Harper and her great nephew Vince Harper.

   She is survived by her brother William Harper (Bonnie) of Murphys, nephews William (Victoria) of Sonoma, Robert (Therese) of Colusa, Tom (Pam) of Stockton, Donald (Susan) of Murphys, niece Mary of Stockton, 10 great-nephews and nieces, 7 great-great nephews and nieces, and many long time dear friends.

     The family would like to send a special thank you to caregiver BJ Bain as well as the wonderful and compassionate staffs of Merrill Gardens and Plymouth Square as they all brought smiles and happiness to her life.

   Graveside services will be held Saturday December 21 at 12:30 PM at the Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys with a reception to follow.

  In lieu of flowers, please make donatons in her name to the Hospice of San Joaquin County, the ASPCA, or Mickey's Grove Zoo.

   Angels Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
