We probably should be surprised, but Pope Francis is following up his talk about preferring moderation instead of extremism, with action.
He has replaced Archbishop Raymond Burke of Washington DC
with the moderate Donald Wuerle.
Burke had criticized Wuerle for allowing moderates to receive communion, calling it "weakening the faith".
Now Wuerle has the last word, and the job of the extremist Burke. Good job, Pope Francis. Keep it up!
Many of us believe that what weakens the Catholic faith is the judgmental and callous behavior of the extremists in the church.
