Mr. Sheldon Bissell of Mountain Ranch passed away due to a tragic auto accident in MountainRanch on December 16, 2013. He was 77.
A native of Southern California, he was born on March 19, 1936, but had lived in Mountain Ranch for 74 years and was a graduate of Calaveras High School.
He was a contractor for 55 years and an inventor. He was also the Founder of the Driving Under the Influence Reporters Reward "DUIRR".
Mr. Bissell is survived by his daughters Terry McBride and Annie Curtis of Mountain Ranch, wife Malinda Bissell of Mountain Ranch, brothers Angelo Bissell of Idaho, Allen Bissell of Oregon and Eldie Bartlett of West Point, step-sons James and Jay Truelock, step-daughter Jenny Truelock, granddaughter Kathleen McBride of Mountain Ranch, step-grandsons Jason, Steven and Joshua McBride of Tuolumne County.
He was preceded in death by his son Elliot Bissell.
Graveside Service is Saturday December 21, 2013 at 2 PM at Mountain Ranch Cemetery on Garibaldi St in Mountain Ranch. A Celebration of Life will follow the graveside service.
San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
