On December 22, 2013 around 10 PM Nathaniel Heller (18) of Arnold was driving a 1999 Dodge Durango eastbound on Hwy 4 east of Hunter Dam Road at a stated speed of 25 MPH.
Heller related he heard a noise which he thought was his tire going flat and he took his attention off the roadway momentarily.
When Hellwe looked back at the roadway, he realized he was going straight off the roadway, instead of following the curve to the left.
The Durango left the roadway and rolled over as it traveled down a dirt/grass embankment.
The Durango came to rest along the dirt access road, resting on its right side. Heller was able to clib out of the Durango and walk to the roadway to get help.
Heller was transported to Mark Twain MEdical Center with minor injures. Drugs/alcohol are not considered a contributing factor in this collision.
