In a trial where he sat at the defense table alongside his brother Bill, as the alleged money-laundering trial
against them commenced, Tom Berryhill, our State Senator claimed innocence. Bill Berryhill claims ignorance, "I'm just a farm boy". Of course, their father had been a legislator for years.
Apparently they were accused of money-laundering to give extra money to Bill's campaign. The money went through local Republican Central Committees, where there has been much scrutiny in past campaign money moved.
There is still no verdict in this case as of January 24, 2014.
