Did you know that the FBI keeps careful statistics on how many law enforcement officers are injured or killed by a member of the public, but keeps NOTHING on how many of the public
are injured or killed by a member of law enforcement?
Not only that, but there is no set standard for how violent cops can be nationwide, and often the lower courts issue strange conflicting rulings. Does this mean cops can get away with nearly anything, if in their judgment, it seems reasonable?
Locally, we see that a crime in the eyes of a victim may not be prosecuted by local law enforcement for various reasons, mostly because of personal relationships with the criminals. Its a sad time in America.
This has reportedly increased since 9/11, when overwhelming numbers and powers were given to law enforcement in this country, including the NSA. Can they do NO WRONG?
We see more and more lawsuits filed; one recently in Charlotte, North Carolina after a black man who had a traffic accident stumbled to a house for help. He was shot 10 times by police officers after someone called 911.
