Op-Ed.....Another Sad Day for California Politics--Walt Gray

   When we read the letter that Walt Gray's boss wrote, saying Gray won't be running against Tom
McClintock, several things immediately came to mind.


   First of all, why did Gray's boss write the letter? Was he threatening to let Gray go if he ran?

   Then, of course, the thought that the McClintock machine got to them, causing channel 10 grief over it.

   Finally though, you have to wonder if this proves politics is all about money. Slimy money, which McClintock has, and which Gray most likely doesn't have at this time.

   We were impressed that Tony Quinn, who wrote the initial article telling the public the truth about McClintock and how he is totally vulnerable as nothing but a Tea Party candidate, to a good challenger.

  No question, Walt Gray would have been a great challenger. Would be nice if someone came through and offered Gray a million or two so he wouldn't have to worry about supporting his family.

   Yes, its a sad day when running for office means you have to be wealthy to begin with.
