According to CHP on December 31, 2014 at around 11:30 PM Paul A. Garrett (46) of Copperopolis was driving his 2006 Chevrolet SUV at an unknown speed while allegedly intoxicated on Black Creek Drive, west of Feather Drive.
Due to his alleged intoxication, CHP says he failed to follow the roadway when it curved to the left.
The SUV left the roadway and impacted a large tree. Mr. Garrett was not wearing his seatbelt and was arrested at the scene for DUI.
Mr. Garret was transported by ambulance to Mark Twain Medical Center for injuries.
