On Monday January 6, 2014 around 6:40 PM CHP reports that Gary Maines (63) of Mountain Ranch was driving his 1991 Ford Bronco northbound on RailRoad Flat Road, south of Jesus Maria Road at a stated speed of 25 MPH.
Maines related that his vehicles tires dropped off the roadway onto the east shoulder. He then overcorrected and lost control of the Bronco.
The Bronco then travelled across the double yellow lines and off the roadway to the west. The Bronco rolled over multiple times and struck a tree before coming to rest on its wheels west of the roadway edge.
Maines was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries. Drug impairment, according to CHP is a contributing factor in the collision.
