Calaveras Sheriff making Arnold residents angry

Over the past couple of months, we have heard from many angry residents in Arnold, who tell us they have been pulled over by the Calaveras Sheriff's deputies for things like a trailer hitch blocking one number of a license plate, or a resident who just moved here from Nevada not having a front license plate (you do not need one in Nevada), and many other petty traffic stops.

Not only regular law abiding residents, but business owners are being harassed by Calaveras deputy sheriff's for whatever reason, instead of doing their jobs of protecting the women and children and property from the druggy burglars. They want the Sheriff to do his job!!

We decided to check and see how often deputies make traffic stops alone. On February 14, 2014 there were 17 stops for traffic violations, all deputy initiated.  It does not indicate exactly what the details of the stop were, and usually says "no report taken".

Finally someone says something about this. Why can't the Sheriff get these druggies and crooks. Why is he bothering honest citizens trying to drive to work? I got pulled over for NOTHING too!

I got pulled over by a pompus mustached one at one time. I was driving up Utica Grade towing a trailer at 5 miles over the limit. Out of the blue here comes a CS and rode my arse all the way to the top. He didn't have lights on or anything. I heard him yell on his speaker "pull over!" He had the gall to stop me to say that he was on a code 3 call and I was in his way. I nicely called him out and said, " i was once emergency personel and code three meant ligbts and sirens. You sir do not have that on. If you are on a CODE 3 call why are you wasting valueable time pulling me over. If you were CODE 3, lights and sirens would do the trick. You officer don't even have your ambers on." He got in his car and left. I felt all it was was a harrasment stop.
