Christina Marie Effken, (August 29, 21956 to January 25, 2014. Born in Liverpool England and moved to California at an early age.
She graduated from Washington High School
in Fremont and in her early twenties worked for the California Conservation Corps, where she met and later married Robert Cox. They had two children, Sean and Elliott Cox.
Christina was a long time employee of Bear Valley mountain resort, where she befriended many people of the area.
Christina always enjoyed the outdoors and was a self-proclaimed "Amateur Geologist". She was always willing to lend a helping hand and always tried to keep a positive attitude about life.
Proceeded in death by her father Theodore F. Effken, Christina is survived by her tow sons, Sean Perry Cox and Elliott Thomas Cox of Santa Cruz and Sonora; mother and step-father Madeline and Giles Smith of Belmont, brother Paul (Karen) Effken, and nephews Mark and Brian of Fremont.
A memorial service will be held at Utica Park on Hwy 49 in Angels Camp on February 23, 2014 at 2 PM.
