We've received several comments from readers that at every event there are suddenly appearing elected officials.
Some are up for re-election this year. You will see them at concerts, crab feeds, even funerals.
Cliff Edson has learned from Callaway that you just keep perpetually campaigning, and then you don't have to do as much at re-election time.
He has even stated on video that he is sick of crab feeds. That was when he was supposed to be stating what "board assigned duties" he had to report.
Once the election is over, as always, they will all go back and hide for another three years, so don't get to used to seeing them.
