How much water does Sacramento use?

In foggy San Francisco, the average daily water usage is 98 gallons. In Sacramento, where half of the homes are still without meters at all (they pay a flat fee and use whatever they want), it is 279 gallons per person.

In Palm Springs, the land of big desert lawns and lush golf courses, they gulp down over 736 gallons a day each. That is five times as much as residents of San Jose or Los Angeles.

Force them to have low flow shower heads, faucets and 1.2 gallon/flush toilets.

And all our water up here goes directly to these folks (do your research people). Go figure.
